Description:

A successful candidate will become a member of our young and enthusiastic team working in the field of "plant next generation sequencing and polymorphism". He/she will be personally responsible for the development of methods allowing identification of polymorphism related to adaptation to drought in barley, design and analysis of transcriptomic (or other next generation sequencing) data.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology or related field of study;
  • practical knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, plant sciences or plant physiology is required;
  • practical experience in bioinformatics (Linux/Ubuntu environment) related to plant science is absolutely required (analysis of RNAseq data, GWAS, miRNA etc);
  • experience in methods of molecular biology, biochemistry and/or physiology (including but not limited to: cloning, PCR, cell/plant transformation, gene expression, Western blots, phenotyping) will be highly appreciated;
  • appropriate publication activities in international journals;
  • active command of English.

We offer:

  • the postdoc full time position (non-academic) is for two years (with the possibility of extending until 31. 10. 2022);
  • salary 1500 - 1900 € per month;
