Study Abroad

International cooperation in the broadest sense is an essential part of university life and scientific activities. Working with the international community, exploring new places and interesting people is one of the important aspects of academic life. Naturally, these opportunities are also offered to our students. Already during their bachelor's and master's degree programs, they can study for one semester or even an entire academic year abroad via Erasmus programs where they can find new friends and experiences. More than 80 students are leaving for these stays each year and more than 40 bilateral agreements are currently active.

Current overview of host institutions cooperating with the Faculty of Science. An overview of the offers (in czech), including additional information you might need if you are considering studying abroad.

Ecology and Environmental Protection (bachelor) in czech

Ecology and Environmental Protection is focused on the study of basic ecological processes and interactions in the environment, the knowledge of which is essential for the pursuit of the profession in the protection of nature and the environment.

Qualification Requirements:

Obtaining 180 ECTS credits, passing the state final exams and defending the bachelor thesis.

Study plan:

The list of subjects necessary for successful completion of study can be found in the study plan.

Biology and Environmental Education (Bc.) in czech

The study is focused on identifying the basic properties of individual components of the environment with an emphasis on biotic components. Attention is given to both the theoretical aspects of biological sciences and the practical acquisition of the methodology with which the respective disciplines work.

Qualification Requirements:

Obtaining 180 ECTS credits, passing the state final exams and defending the bachelor thesis.

Study plan:

The list of subjects necessary for successful completion of study can be found in the study plan.

Hydrobiology (Mgr.) in czech

The focus of theoretical subjects enables students to get a detailed understanding of the latest knowledge about the structure, properties and functions of aquatic ecosystems (water reservoirs, flows, marine ecosystems). In addition to the study of abiotic factors of individual types of aquatic habitats, students will be acquainted with the biology of aquatic animals, lower and higher plants, bacteria and with basic hydrobiological methods. Much of the study is devoted to practical laboratory exercises and field excursions. The study program also includes applied subjects (applied hydrobiology, ecotoxicology, revitalization and water structures, etc.), which increases the opportunities for graduates to apply in practice - see Study plan.

Qualification requirements:

Obtaining 120 ECTS credits, passing the state final exams and defending the thesis.

Study plan:

The list of subjects necessary for successful completion of study can be found in the study plan.

Ecology and Environmental Protection (Master) in czech

The study emphasizes the knowledge of basic ecological disciplines, further expansion of professional knowledge is focused on theoretical knowledge of environmental analysis, ecological planning and forecasting and the study of nature and society interactions in the landscape.

Qualification requirements:

Obtaining 120 ECTS credits, passing the state final exams and defending the thesis.

Study plan:

The list of subjects necessary for successful completion of study can be found in the study plan.

Landscape protection and creation (Master) in czech

The study provides expert knowledge of basic ecological and environmental disciplines and gives the opportunity to gain further knowledge in landscape ecology and revitalization. Expanding professional knowledge is further focused on theoretical knowledge of environmental analysis, ecological planning and forecasting, the study of nature and society interactions in the landscape and the issue of ecological balance.
