Recommendations related to Covid-19

COVID-19 - Information and measures at Palacký University:

(updated on March 14, 2022)

Respiratory protection

According to an extraordinary measure of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic of 10 March 2022 (in Czech), the obligation to use respiratory protective equipment (respirator) in the indoor areas of the university ends as of March 14, 2022.

As a precautionary measure, the UP Rector recommends until further notice that respirators be used in cases where more than 20 persons are present in the UP indoor premises at the same time (typically students during classes, mass events, meetings of UP bodies, work meetings, training sessions, etc.).

The obligation to wear appropriate respiratory protection then continues to apply in the following areas:

  • medical facilities
  • social services facilities
  • means of public transport, when using a taxi service, in an enclosed cable car
