Rules for teaching at FS UP in connection with Covid-19

Effective from January 11, 2021 the Government of the Czech Republic restricts the operation of higher education institutions pursuant to Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Some Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended, including foreign universities and their branches operating in the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as "higher education institutions") by prohibiting the personal presence of students in classes and examinations, if more than 10 people participate in the examination at the same time, while in university studies and participanting in lifelong learning courses; the prohibition of the personal presence of students under this regulation does not apply to:

  • participation in clinical and practical teaching and practice of students in the study programmes of General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacology and other health sciences (at FS UP study programmes Optometry and Experimental Biology) and students performing pedagogical practical teaching and practice in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools or school facilities for the performance of institutional and protective education,
  • participation in university entrance exams with the participation of a maximum 10 people,
  • participation in individual consultations (only one student and one academic staff).

UP Library

From December 21, 2020 to January 3, 2021, the Armoury (Zbrojnice) and other branches of the UP Library will be closed.
