Mandatory testing of employees from January 17, 2022

Based on an extraordinary measure of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic of January 5, 2022, starting from Monday January 17, 2022 Palacký University is obliged to test all its employees twice a week via a rapid antigen test designed for self-testing („self-test“).

Mandatory testing applies to the following employee types:

  • contracted, salaried employees (regardless of whether they are also students; the contracted workload is immaterial)
  • independent contractors with DPP/DPČ agreements
  • students who are also FS UP employees (including DPP/DPČ)
  • interns, trainees,volunteers
  • persons who are members of UP authorities

The testing obligation applies to all employees and it does not matter whether a person is vaccinated (and with how many doses) or not, or has undergone Covid-19. The requirement to undergo testing does not apply in cases where the employee does not encounter any third persons either in the workplace or when performing their job (e.g. on a business trip). Information on other possible exceptions can be found on the following website – the employee is obliged to prove these exceptions to the employer directly at the workplace.

At the Faculty of Science UP, mandatory testing of employees is provided centrally in two sites. Due to organizational (and associated administrative) reasons, it is necessary to register for testing in advance. You can use the place of your choosing for testing, regardless of which faculty building your workplace is located. Testing is provided every working day at:

Main building of the FS UP, 17. listopadu 12, foyer on the 6th floor RESERVATION FORM ENVELOPA
FS UP campus in Holice, building 47, ground floor RESERVATION FORM HOLICE

Detailed information were sent to the employees via group email.
