Over 400 Bachelor's students and approximately 300 Master's students graduate from the Faculty of Science every year. For example, from 2005 to 2020, the faculty had around 10,700 successful graduates.
The Faculty of Science is proud of its graduates and many of them remain in regular contact with the faculty. Long-term attention is paid to working with them, e.g. the faculty database of gradulates contains over 15,100 people. Former students are regularly invited to the faculty events, among others to Silver (25 years since graduation), Golden (50 years since graduation) and Diamond (60 years since graduation) graduation ceremonies.
Our graduates are very successful in the job market. They leave a significant mark in the field of education – our former students include a number of successful academics, school principals and, above all, high-quality teachers. Many top scientists and researchers build on the foundations obtained during the study at the Faculty of Science in Olomouc. However, our graduates often pursue their career in public administration, in private sector, or as a successful entrepreneurs.
The Golden Graduation Ceremony is an annual ceremonial meeting with the graduates connected with the symbolic graduation ceremony 50 years after their graduation. The Faculty of Science was the first to establish this tradition not only at the Palacký University in 2007, but also within the Czech Republic.
The Diamond Graduation Ceremony is a festive meeting and a symbolic graduation for alumni 60 years after their graduation. The faculty welcomed its first diamond graduates in 2017.
In 2023 the Golden and Diamond Graduation Ceremonies, which will be attended by graduates from 1973, will take place on 13 October.
The Silver Graduation Ceremony is a ceremonial meeting with the graduates connected with the symbolic graduation ceremony 25 years after their graduation. The Faculty of Science has been organizing the Silver Graduation since 2009.
