OLTWINS TenBeam

  • Tens Mössbauer spectra from one radioactive source

Advantages:

            Ten spectra from one source

            The most efficient Mössbauer spectrometer.

The cheapest Mössbauer spectrometer per channel

Huge radiation shielding ensuring extremely safe operation

            Versatility in combination

  • Includes:
    • Transmission Mössbauer spectrum
    • CEMS
    • CEMS + Transmission from the same sample
    • CXMS
    • CXMS + Transmission  from the same sample

Description:

This spectrometer benefits from using of a excelent properties of our transducer, which can bear a scintillation detector and/or CEMS detector and simutaneusly the mössbauer absorber = sample. Thus the transmission Mössbauer spectra are acquired by Doppler modulation with absorber while the source is fixed in the radiation shielding. In this configuration simultaneously up to six samples can be investigated simultaneously. Moreover, two different kind of Mössbauer spectra can be acquired simultaneously. That means that there is number of different combination of spectra you can  acquired simultaneously from one sample. The number of acquired spectra is limited by number of electronic acquisition units.

Configuration

Here is  a list of possibilities for simultaneous detection of spectra of one sample:

A: Transmission + CEMS

B: Transmission + CXMS

C: CXMS + CEMS

This, Moreover can be combined for each of ten beams.

Properties

The radiation intensity is as shown in figure

The configuration can be choosen by costumer.

Here are listed several configurations:

Beam 1 - Transmission

Beam 2 – CXMS+Transmision

Beam 3 – Transmission

Beam 4 – Transmission

Beam 5 – CEMS + Transmission

Beam 6 – Transmission

Beam 7 – Transmission

Beam 8 – Transmission

Beam 9 – CEMS + Transmission

Beam 10 – Transmission

One e-unit operate two detectors, thus for this configuration 4 acquisition units are needed.

OLTWINS Compact

This is a compact single beam/channel spectrometer. It contains  basic shielding of the source.

This spectrometer can be operated in horizontal as welll as in vertical arrangement. It is mainly dedicated to such application where is due to some reasons limited space like for cryostats, high temperature furnace etc.

OLTWINS Standard

This is a highly shielded version of Mössbauer spectrometer  which can be operated in vertical and horizontal direction.

OLTWINS Custom

Customs development “arrangement” CEMS detector       CEMS detector

We are offering possibility for custom development of the Mössbauer spectrometers for the purpose.

OLTWINS Special arrangement

The spectrometer acquisition units can  performed different possibilities of different

That are time coincident measurements, time anticoincident measurements and acquisition time time differential Mössbauer spectroscopy.

Thus If the setup is equiped by Detector of 122 keV the setup allow to measure the excitation state life time.

Time Differential Mössbauer spectroscopy or anticoincident measurements (that can be used for specific filtration of the detected photons. In specific situation it allows to increase signal to noise ratio.

Posible arrangements

Thanks to its modularity, apart form double spectrometer arrangement, the system OLTWINS can be utilized in various experimental setups/arrangement.

Emission Mössbauer spectroscopy

In the emission spectroscopy setup we investigate a sample with incorporated 57Co serving as a source of radiation. The spectrum of the sample is detected using known reference absorber with single line (usually K2Mg57Fe(CN)6).  The setup is similar to that of double spectrometer. This setup allows placing the studied sample to the cryostat or furnace, so we can follow the emission spectra under different conditions.

Also in this case we can also measure two spectra of the same sample simultaneously, thus the time needed for relevant statistics decreases.

Gamma back scattering

The source and detector can be placed also into the backscattering geometry.
