More stimulating and critical environment at UP due to frequent expert visits, oral presentations, and discussion beyond the consortium; indicated by the higher quality and feasibility of research proposals prepared for calls (of EU or national programmes) supporting international R&D collaboration and published results stimulated by the NONGAUSS.

Expectation: 2 experimental proposals with new partners annually.

High-level expertise

High level of knowledge and expertise in modern quantum technology disseminated to other research organisations; indicated by the number of published papers in this direction by other groups in the Czech Republic, stimulated by the NONGAUSS Training Stays, Workshops, Summer Schools, Expert Visits, public dissemination and collaboration.

Expectation: 2 high impact papers annually.

Training

Training of ESRs in modern quantum technologies from UP and other universities and research institutes to increase their chance to be recruited by excellent EU laboratories; indicated by the number of PhD students (outside of the UP) attending the NONGAUSS Summer Schools.

Expectation: minimum of 5 ESRs from Czech institutions (outside the UP) annually.

National collaboration

Broader national collaboration and cooperation of national teams and laboratories involved in quantum technologies and collaboration in the Flagship on Quantum Technologies Indicated by the number of joint collaborative papers and research proposals stimulated by the NONGAUSS.

Expectation: 2 joint grant proposals.

Regional development

Contribution to the SMART Specialisation Strategy of the Czech Republic and to the RIS3 Strategy of the Olomouc Region in Moravia, where Palacký University is situated, via quantum technology and the uniqueness and diversity of Czech quantum science and technology in Europe; indicated by broader participation of the Czech teams inside the FET Flagship on Quantum Technology and other programs in this field; participation will be stimulated by NONGAUSS training, workshops, summer schools, expert visits, and public dissemination. Contribution of NONGAUSS to Olomouc Region RIS3 the County authorities confirmed.

Expectation: 2 grant proposals in quantum technology annually.

Joint experiments
