On the occasion of 21st anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Geoinformatics at the UP Faculty of Science, the third meeting of Olomouc geographic information scientists took place in the Faculty of Law assembly hall. More than 250 guests attended the social event for all graduates, students and colleagues.

“This was a kind of a multi-meeting of all graduates in our field. Previous editions were a huge hit with alumni, students and academics. Not only did they bring together classmates across years, but also current and former teachers. The culmination of the event was an informal social evening where everyone met, briefly discussed their professional experiences, and had fun,” said Jakub Koníček from the Department of Geoinformatics.

The participants of the meeting enjoyed a children’s corner for alumni children, a “retro lunch” in the university canteen, a tour of the department with coffee and cake, and an overnight party at the student pub Doga.
