The internationalization of higher education is one of the key trends of development. International academic mobility favours well-developed education systems and institutions which means cooperation with international universities, transparency and recognition of qualifications in the students' educational process. There are several approaches to achieving competitiveness and performance in higher education. International academic mobility, students’ exchange programmes and traineeships are some of the aspects that can play a significant role in this process. Departments and research centers are closely linked with prestigious foreign institutions not only in Europe but around the world through joint projects and programmes. The opportunity to study abroad and gain theoretical and practical knowledge is highly recommended to students. The faculty has over 100 active bilateral agreements. The international experience that students receive is truly invaluable in their future careers, whether in the academic or commercial sphere. The Faculty of Science also offers English accredited study programmes in the
Follow-up Master and Doctoral studies. These programmes are mostly intended for foreign students and contribute to the school's international character. Thanks to scientific achievements, research-oriented departments and the international environment, our school has been making a significant mark in international rankings, which creates a considerable advantage in the Czech environment for the future success of our graduates.
