From Saturday, March 27, 2021, the regular census began in the Czech Republic. It therefore applies to foreigners from third countries who have a long-term visa or long-term residence permit in the Czech Republic, as well as EU citizens if they stay in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days. Foreigners who have a valid long-term residence or long-term visa, but do not reside in the Czech Republic at the decisive moment, should also be added!

Information on the census of foreigners can be found here. Foreigners can participate in the census either through an online form or a paper form. To register in the electronic census form (at https://www.scitani.cz/csu/scitani2021/home) you can use only the number of a valid personal document issued by the Czech Republic (ID card, passport or documents issued to foreigners - residence card, visa) and date of birth, electronic identity https://www.eidentita.cz/Home) or the data box of a natural person.

If a foreigner cannot use any of the above options, which mainly concerns EU citizens, he/she should fill in the paper census form. The paper census form must contain and submit the period from 17 April to 11 May. He will receive it together with the responsible envelope from the census commissioner to the contact point (Olomouc 1 post office, or another post office, marked with the census logo) or where he is accommodated, for example on university dormitories.
