Introductory word

Dear colleagues, dear students,
we expect that the emergency measures will be partially lifted in the near future. The Government of the Czech Republic has preliminarily announced that, starting on April 26, practical education could be permitted, i.e. especially laboratory and field experiments for students in their final year.

In case this happens, the priority at the departments is the practical education of final year students so that they can participate in final state examinations and defenses of Bachelor's and Master's theses on the dates announced.

The practical teaching of students of other years will probably be possible only in the next wave of releasing anti-epidemic measures. It will very likely be necessary to start block teaching of these subjects in the summer months, i.e. in June, July and August. We ask teachers and students for friendly communication and cooperation. In justified cases, we will meet the needs of students and write off the subjects.

It can be assumed that the return of students to full-time study will be associated with the need for Covid-19 testing. However, it all depends on the statements of the Government of the Czech Republic and the relevant ministries. We will inform you in time about the possible organization of testing.

We thank teachers and students for their patience and cooperation.

Jan Říha
Vice-dean for study matters
